Powerlifting coaching businesses grew in October, according to the Powerlifting Coaching Index. The headline index registered 57.4, above the 50 mark that separates growth from contraction.

The headline averages three measures. New client inquiries registered 62.8, with 36% of coaches reporting more inquiries than in September and 11% reporting fewer. Active paying clients registered 57.4. Clients canceling or pausing registered 47.9, meaning slightly fewer coaches saw cancellations rise than saw them fall. Lower is better on that measure, so it counts inverted in the headline.

Clients with a meet booked in the next six months registered 69.1, with 51% of coaches reporting more. Business costs registered 57.4, while what coaches charge new clients registered 52.1, with 91% holding prices steady. Clients based outside the coach’s own country registered 47.9.

Looking ahead, 70% of coaches expect their business to be bigger in twelve months, 26% expect it to be about the same, and 4% expect it to be smaller.
